TDP ministers to tour world for state capital - Sakshi Post

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Municipal Administration and Chairman of Capital Advisory Committee P.Narayana said that an experts team would study the capital cities in the country and around the world before arriing at a final decision on setting up AP's capital.

“We would study the capital cities of six countries and four Indian states,” said Narayana.

The committee met in Hyderabad on Saturday to discuss the same.

Speaking after the meet, Narayana said: “Our committee will visit Brazil, Islamabad, Putra Jaya, Austin, Dubai and Singapore. We will also visit the Indian cities of Chandigarh, Gandhinagar, Naya Raipur and Navi Mumbai.”

Narayana said that they would request the state government to form a technical committee and other sub-committees on the issue of identifying the capital location.

The minister said that 11 national-level educational institutes will be set up in nine districts in the state.
