TDP leader Tammineni now in YSRCP

Former minister and Senior TDP leader Tammineni Sitaram joined YSR Congress Party on Thursday.

He took the membership of YSRCP in the presence of party honorary president YS Vijayamma.

Sitaram comes with great experience in politics. He started off as director for a sugar faction in 1980. Later, when TDP was founded, he joined the party and won five times to Legislative Assembly.

He served as minister for nine years and as government whip for five years. He was also appointed three times as district president. He joined the PRP, but soon quit after it merged with Congress.

Though the TDP leaders maintain that they don't have a problem with Tammineni's exit but it's a big loos to the party fortunes in Srikakulam.
