Samaikyandhra agitation completes 30 days
It's thirty days since the Samaikyandhra agitation started. Ever since the Andhra and coastal regions have been badly hit. Transportation, schools and business establishments have remained shut.
Lakhs of employees are participating in the strike call given by the APNGOs demanding that the state remain united.
Almost all parts of the Seemandhra region are reverberating with slogans against Centre's decision to divide the state.
Many places in the Seemandhra region observed bandh in support of the striking employees as all the business establishments, schools, colleges, cinema theaters and banks remained closed.
While several political leaders are actively taking part in the Samaikyandhra agitation, some others are lobbying in Delhi to stall the process.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is silently observing everything from his camp office.
