TDP ex-MLA meets Jagan in jail

In a major setback to Telugu Desam Party, ex-MLA of Narasannapeta Baggu Lakshmana Rao has met YSR Congress party president and Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Chanchalguda jail on Tuesday and extended his support.

Speaking to the media later, Lakshmana Rao said that the TDP’s image was tarnished with the policies of its chief Chandrababu Naidu. He alleged that the Congress and the TDP had conspired against Jagan. "Chandrababu Naidu who has to call for no-confidence motion against the Congress government, colluded with the ruling party and kept himself away from voting and it was proved on the floor of the Assembly," he said.

The Narasannapeta former MLA said that he was being attracted with Jagan’s leadership and was joining the YSRCP. Later, Lakshmana Rao visited the Vijayamma’s fasting camp at New MLA Quarters and extended his solidarity for the agitation against the power tariff hike.
