TDP-BJP Alliance Cheated 5 Crore Telugus: Raghuveera

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief Raghuveera Reddy took potshots at the ruling Telugu Desam Party and its ally Bharatiya Janata Party for their failure to give special state status to Andhra Pradesh.

The Congress chief lambasted the TDP Government and said that it had cheated 5 crore people of the state and dashed their hopes. The TDP failed to bring pressure on the Centre and was happy with special package.

Raghuveera Reddy said his party would stage protests in all the districts from Friday to protest against the betrayal by the TDP-BJP. The protest would continue until all the promises made by the ruling party during the election time are fulfilled, he said.
