‘Take Action Against Azam Khan’: Governor Writes To CM Yogi
Lucknow: Stirring up a hornet’s nest, Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik on Thursday dashed off a letter to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adithynath seeking action against senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan.
In his letter to CM Yogi, The Governor mentioned 14 points on the basis of which an action should be initiated against Azam Khan for misusing power during the previous government of Samajwadi Party.
He alleged that former Parliamentary Affairs and Urban Development Minister Azam Khan and illegally occupied Waqf Board properties.
A 42-page report from the Waqf Board levelling serious allegations has already been sent to the Prime Minister Office. It was also alleged that Azam Khan, who was elected from Rampur constituency, had illegally constructed guest house in private university land.
