Gujarati Voters Deducted GST From BJP Tally: Manchu Lakshmi

Gujarat's cliffhanger and BJP surviving a scare at the hands of the Congress in the elections has become the talk of the cyber world with netizens posting funny comments.

However, Lakshmi Manchu clearly takes the cake with her funny comment that has linked the Gujarat election verdict to the GST. She said Shah asked for 150 seats in the Gujarat Assembly of 182 seats. But, the voters deducted 28 per cent GST, which works out to 51 and deducted it from 150 to give just 99, she commented.

Though the BJP has retained power for a record sixth time, For the first time since 1995, the BJP was limited to two digits. Interestingly, Lakshmi Manchu is a brand ambassador for Narendra Modi's flagship programme 'Swachch Bharat' and very actively supported Modi in the run-up to 2014 elections.

Interestingly, she also re-tweeted Narendra Modi thanking the voters for the twin victories.
