Sushma Swaraj to contest from Telangana ?

State leaders from BJP are planning to request their senior leader and Leader of Opposition, Sushma Swaraj to contest from any constituency in Telangana.

As the AP Reorganisation Bill – 2013 was passed in both the houses of Parliament, the BJP leaders from Andhra Pradesh have reviewed the position of the party in Telangana region in a meet in New Delhi.

State leaders of the party are trying to get Sushma, who played a key role in Parliament, to play a role in Telangana politics.  

According to political analysts, if Sushma can be brought into state politics, then the fate of both Congress and TRS can be controlled better.

The leaders met Sushma in New Delhi on Friday to thank her for her support. In the meeting, they requested her to contest from their region. As per reports, Sushma did not deny their proposal, but requested them to wait for sometime.  

As the new state is being formed, some leaders of the party are planning to hold a public meeting in Hyderabad soon and invite Sushma for the same. 

BJP want to have a meeting before Congress decides to do the same.
