Suprabhata seva cancellation sparks protests in Tirumala - Sakshi Post

Devotees of Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday staged a demonstration and squatted on the road over cancellation of Suprabhata Seva in Tirumala temple.

The devotees raised slogans against Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). As a result of the dharna, vehicular traffic came to a standstill on the main road. TTD used to release 100 Suprabhata Seva tickets through a counter at CRO office every day. Devotees will wait in the queue line a day before for the tickets.

TTD cancelled Suprabhata seva in view of lunar eclipse. Unaware of the cancellation, the TTD staff allowed the devotees in the queue lines. Angered by the indifferent attitude of the TTD employees for not informing them in advance, the devotees launched dharna.
