Subbarami Reddy has no money to pay tax!
MLAs, MPs evading tax is not news. However, a rich industrialist owning property to the tune of crores of rupees, failing to pay his dues is certainly shameful.
The person we are now referring to is none other than our very own Subbarami Reddy..
The name rings a bell? Well, yes! for there's no industry that's left untouched by him. From movies and construction to politics and being the chairman to the TTD, TSR has been there done that. But with such a vast exposure and being one of the most respected persons in the society, it's unbelievable that he evaded tax.
The latest is that The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has named industrialist-politician, T Subbarami Reddy as one of the oldest defaulters of property tax and served red notices to him for not paying property tax for three years.
According to the GHMC, TSR owes a whopping Rs. 5 crore property tax to the corporation. TSR's seven star hotel Park Hyatt in Banjara Hills on Road No. 2, is yet to pay a due to the tune of Rs. 3.5 crores.
It is known that TSR approached the court a few days ago, saying that he cannot pay such a huge amount. However, the wealth that has amassed no way shows him in poor financial health.
In fact, TSR owns six houses in Somajiguda in the name of Deepa enterprises. The pending tax for these properties amounts to Rs 1.5 cores. Sources say that Subbarami Reddy was slapped a notice as he has not paid the tax for the past three years for any of these homes.
