Guntur: Balayya does a circus to meet Naidu

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu who's given a break to his padayatra at Guntur due to the ongoing MLC elections had a surprise visitor on Wednesday.

It is learnt that Telugu actor Bala Krishna called on Naidu at Guntur.However, he got a shocker when the police stopped him from meeting his brother-in-law (Naidu).

According to sources, Balayya went to meet Naidu who's resting at Vemuru in Guntur, following the election code.

It may be recalled that Naidu got  a two-day break for his Vastunna Meekosam padayatra in the wake of the MLC elections in Guntur district. The EC has allowed him to stay back in Guntur although he cannot carry on with his foot march. The EC also directed Naidu not to conduct any meetings.

Naidu was resting at his specially designed bus, when Balayya went to meet him. In a major setback, police did not allow the Telugu actor to meet Naidu as it was against the election code. Balayya, who had come all the way from Hyderabad to Guntur was disappointed.

Balayya who waited there for some time called a few leaders in the district to explain his plight. Finally, some of the TDP leaders telephoned the collector and got Balayya the permission to meet Naidu.

What was the intention behind Balayya meeting Naidu? Was it a political meeting or a mere courtesy call? Neither revealed what went on during their meeting. Watch this space for developments..
