Students Turn Mobile Snatchers for Pocket Money
Hyderabad: Two students were arrested on Thursday for snatching a cell phone from a passerby in Jubilee Hills, Road No. 10.
According to Jubliee Hills Detective Inspector Muttu, the students Ketesh Reddy (20) and Sandeep (19) were habituated to make money by stealing valuables and selling them. Ketesh residing at New Ramarao Nagar in Borabanda is studying B.Tech second year and Sandeep from the same locality is studying polytechnic. Both belong to rich families, but as the duo got habituated to luxuries, they started stealing mobiles and money.
They earlier snatched a bag from a woman at an ATM center at Jubliee Hills road no:10. They took away the bag from her while she was on a call and sped away on a two wheeler bike (AP 09 BQ 6369). They also snatched a cell phone from a person at same area.
The victims filed a case against them and the students were taken into custody along with the cell phone and the bag. They admitted that they did the crime. They were sent to remand after being produced in court.
