Students dharna at the Secretariat

Hyderabad: The Osmania University (JAC) students, on Tuesday sat down for a dharna in front of the Telangana Secretariat, demanding for justice to be done for the family of the deceased Vemula Rohit.

The students tried to force their way in, demanding the arrest of those responsible for Rohit’s suicide. When they were prevented by the police they say down to protest outside the secretariat. The police have taken the students into custody.

The JAC leader Bhaskar, criticized the Telangana chief minister’s inaction about the matter. “We condemn K Chandrasekhar Rao’s inaction even after ten days of the suicide” he said and questioned why the union minister Dattatreya, MLC Ramachandra Rao and VC Apparao were not arrested so far even after police cases were booked against them. He said they will continue to fight until justice is done to Rohit’s family.
