Students arrested for protests over Eamcet-2 leak
Hyderabad: Police on Friday arrested a number of students, who were staging protests at several places in the city over leakage of EAMCET-2 test paper. Students have been requesting Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao not to cancel the exam as it would cause further stress and pressure on them.
On the other hand, Students’ unions have demanded resignations from Deputy Chief Minister and Education minister Kadiam Srihari and Health Minister Laxma Reddy for taking moral responsibility in the EAMCET-2 paper leakage.
Students and parents gathered at Secretariat started raising slogans against leakage of EAMCET-2 paper. Police tried to disperse the students and parents from the entrance gate of Secretariat.
Students and parents on Friday staged protests against EAMCET-2 leakage at several places including Secretariat, Indira Park dharna chowk, ministers’ quarters, JNTU, OU and other parts across the State. Some students staged a dharna in front of the accused house as well.

Several students’ unions including NSUI and ABVP made an attempt to stage dharna at Ministers’ quarters, but Police prevented them. Students’ unions have demanded for resignations of Ministers Kadiam Srihari and Laxma Reddy.
The situation turned out to be tense as police started preventing students entering into the quarters.
The heated exchange of words and arguments with police created ruckus at the Ministers’ quarters. Students’ unions raised slogans against the TRS government. Police have taken some student leaders into custody.
