Student hospitalised after school teacher beats him up
Hyderabad: A 11-year-old boy was hospitalised after he was subjected to corporal punishment twice allegedly by his teacher of a private school in the Langer House area here, a police official said here today.
Langer House police station inspector Mohammed Javeed told PTI that according to the complaint lodged by the boy's parents, on the first occasion the boy, who is a sixth standard student, was allegedly slapped on his face by his science teacher on September 2 due to which one of his teeth fell out.
Yesterday, the teacher allegedly hit the boy again with his hand on his back, making him unable to walk, the police official said. An investigation is on but the teacher has not been arrested. We are verifying the matter, the police official said. A case under Section 323 and Section 325 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered.
