State Tourism facing funds crunch: Chiranjeevi - Sakshi Post

State Tourism Department was facing a severe funds crunch and it should change its tourism policy to ensure growth in the industry, said Chiranjeevi, Union Minister for Tourism.

 He said world tourism conferences would be held in Hyderabad for three days from April 11. A proposal was on the anvil to set up culinary institute in Tirupati or Hyderabad. He opined that Visa rules should be liberalized to attract more foreign tourists and at the same time the job opportunities would also be increased.
Chiranjeevi said as a result of untimely rains that lashed the State in this week it incurred a loss of Rs 100 crore and appealed to the Government to come to the rescue of affected farmers. He said MP Subbarami Reddy had requested for a branch of Chiranjeevi blood bank in Vizag,a decision would be taken after consultations.
