Remember Sirish Bhardwaj? Yes, the same lad who became a celebrity overnight after he eloped with Srija, the daughter of Union minister and Tollywood megastar K Chiranjeevi.

In a surprise development, it's learnt that Chiru's son-in-law joined BJP a few days ago. Sirish pledged his support to BJP and its activities.

It's worth mentioning here that BJP is a national opposition party for Congress. Now, the million dollar question on everyone's mind would be if Sirish joined BJP just to irk Chiranjeevi? It's a well known fact that the relationship between Chiru and Sirish was bitter right from the beginning. It turned sour and became even more evident when Srija filed a dowry harassment case against Sirish.

Observers feel that he joined the BJP to take political revenge against Chiranjeevi. Although Sirish maintains that he cannot take revenge as Chiru is the grandfather of his daughter, speculation is still rife that the inside truth is something different. The buzz in the political and film fraternity is that Sirish is using BJP as a platform to attack Chiranjeevi.

It remains to be seen if the Sirish- Chiranjeevi face-off in future. it would be interesting to watch what kind of allegations the duo will make against each other now that they are political rivals too.
