State sets up commission to protect child rights
The state government on Tuesday constituted a seven-member commission for protection of child rights.
The Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights would consist of a Chairperson and six members out of which at least two shall be women, a Government Order (GO) states.
The Chairperson and members would be appointed on the recommendation of a selection committee headed by the Minister-in-charge of Women and Child Welfare, it said. The rules for the commission will be issued separately, the GO added.
