Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul Deserve Forgiveness, Another Chance: Saurav Ganguly
Mumbai: Former Indian Cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly opened up about the Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul's misogynistic comments on the famous Talk show, Koffee With Karan.
Both the cricketers are facing heavy criticism for their comments on women in the TV show. The BCCI has already suspended Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have been and called back from Australia after their controversial comments on the TV show.
Sourav Ganguly said, people should forgive the duo's mistakes and give them one more chance. "People make mistakes, let's not stretch this issue too far. I am sure both of them will realize and come out as better persons. We are all human beings, not machines to be perfect at all things. You just have to live life and let others live," he added in Mumbai.
Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were flayed over their vulgar comments on Koffee with Karan show. Both cricketers came up with an apology to fans and their own teammates, but Pandya and Rahul ousted by BCCI and were forced to return to India. The Committee of Administrators is not satisfied with the apology and is particular over harsher punishment for the duo.
Pandya and Rahul are currently are undergoing the inquiry proceedings from the BCCI, a section of the board wants them to be suspended and subjected to severe punishment for defaming India’s image.
Former Skipper, stoop up for the duo and said, they have made mistake, but people should not be judgemental about them. The duo could be role models to people and they should make sure that this sort of event never occurs again, he added.
