Speculations over Dadi meeting Minister Ganta
In a sudden development, estranged TDP MLC Dadi Veerabhadra Rao called on Minister for Ports and Infrastructure Ganta Srinviasa Rao in Visakhapatnam on Friday giving a speculation over his joining the Congress party.
Dadi Veerabhadra Rao had raised a banner of revolt against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu after he was denied MLC ticket.
As his term was ending on May 2, disgruntled Dadi was keeping himself away from the party activities. His meeting with Minister attained significance as Chandrababu Naidu’s “Vastunna Meekosam” padayatra was reaching Visakhapatnam on Friday. TDP leaders of Vizag unit are seen upset with the sudden developments.
Both the leaders came out with smiling faces after the meeting, which went on for more than one hour. Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, however, told media people that he met the Minister only for sanction of funds for the developmental activities in his constituency.
Political analysts, however, observe that Dadi gave signals to the TDP high command through his actions that he was still angry with Chandrababu Naidu. Interestingly, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao came down heavily against Naidu charging him with bias that he was denied ticket because he was a BC leader.
Vizag TDP leaders, however, felt that one should not jump to a conclusion over Dadi. It could be known only after whether he would meet Naidu or not during the padayatra, the party sources maintain.
