HRC reacts on petition against night pubs

A case has been registered on Friday against the management of a pub for running them even after scheduled time violating rules.

A group of girls created a scene in an inebriated condition on Thursday night when some media crew tried to shoot the running of a pub even after the midnight. The girls had an altercation with cameramen and abused them. Police reached the spot and dispersed the girls.

City police earlier cancelled the licences of some pubs for running them even after the midnight. It became regular feature again as many pubs were running beyond the deadline managing the beat police, it is alleged. City police registered a case against Rain Pub on Friday following a complaint.

Meanwhile, a petition was filed in the HRC seeking action against the pubs as they were misguiding the young generation. Reacting to the petition, the Commission directed the Hyderabad and Cyberabad police commissioners to submit a report on the activity of pubs before April 17.
