Sonia Gandhi to finalise MLC candidates

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana on Friday met AICC president Sonia Gandhi with regard to give a final shape to the list of MLC candidates. The list of MLC candidates for five posts is likely to be announced today.

The high command had shortlisted the candidates proposed by Kiran and Botsa. The meeting which held more than an hour was also attended by Sonia Gandhi, AP affairs incharge Gulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel. The decision on the selection of candidates was left to Sonia Gandhi, sources said. 

Candidates proposed by Kiran Kumar Reddy for the five MLC posts are Raghuram Reddy, Suresh Reddy, Bharati Nayak, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Gudur narayana Reddy, Gowri Shankar, Dayasagar and Sudhakar babu. The Chief Minister is understood to have trying to clinch another MLC post, sources added.
