Senior IAS officers on race for Chief Secretary post

Several senior IAS officers are queuing up to Chief Minister’s camp office seeking the position of Chief Secretary, which was lying to vacant by the end of this month.

Present incumbent Minni Mathew is about to superannuate this month and the government was mulling on the new CS.  P K Mahanty, 1979 batch IAS officer may be the next Chief Secretary to the State government as Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is believed to have chosen him for the post.

Meanwhile, IAS officer Samuel met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office on Thursday. According to reports, he sought his name to be considered for CS post. While another senior IAS officer IYR Krishna Rao, former Executive officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD) also called on Kiran Kumar Reddy and requested him to choose him for the CS post.
