Security Tightened At ​RGIA After Hijack Threat

The Hyderabad police have tightened security at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad after receiving a hijack threat. The police said that they had received information to this effect from a woman in Bihar.

According to the woman, a man identified as Shoaib from Lucknow is planning to hijack a flight bound for Jeddah on December 24. Meanwhile, there are also rumours that the lady, who is in love with Shoaib had given false information to prevent him from going to Jeddah.

The police are also examining the authenticity of the information and have alerted the security officials at the airport. Further details are awaited.
