Saurabh Ganguly’s Verbal Spat For Train Berth Goes Viral 

Kolkatta: A video of former India captain Sourav Ganguly involved in a brawl with a fellow passenger over a train berth has gone viral.

The Cricket Association of Bengal chief was to travel to Balurghat to unveil his eight-feet statue. And upon reaching his first class AC coach, he saw his seat occupied by a passenger. Upon questioning the passenger claimed to be his seat making the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to intervene. Later, the ‘Prince of Calcutta’ was shifted to an AC two-tier coach. Incidentally, the confusion led as the reservation charts showed the seat was reserved in the name of one “S. Ganguli”.

Ganguly, on reaching the venue at Bikash Maidan in Balurghat unveiled his statue amid scores of fans. The statue was sculpted by a Siliguri-based sculptor Sushanta Pal, who has never met Ganguly in person.
