Sasikala vs Paneerselvam: Five Major Developments After Governor’s Arrival

Sasikala met Rao and handed him the letters of support given by her party legislators. She was accompanied by senior ministers. Before going to Raj Bhavan, Sasikala went to J. Jayalalithaa's memorial at Marina beach and paid homage there. She also kept a large sized envelope there as a mark of seeking the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's blessings.
Earlier in the evening, Tamil Nadu's acting Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam met Rao. Speaking to reporters after meeting Rao at 5 p.m. Panneerselvam said: "I met the Governor and briefed him about the happenings in the state." "Justice will win," he declared.
Paneerselvam met his supporters at his Greenways Road official residence. He currently has the support of leaders like former Ministers KP Munusamy, Natham R Viswanathan, Rajya Sabha MP V Maithreyan and a few sitting MLAs.
Meanwhile, DMK announced that in the event of show of strength on the floor of Assembly, it would back Paneerselvam. Party spokesperson Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan and MP Kanimozhi slammed Sasikala.
There are reports that at least 20 MLAs, now bused off to Mahabalipuram by Sasikala group are trying to join Paneerselvam. They reportedly conveyed this to the Sasikala group's pointsmen.
