Sasikala Meets Governor, Presents List Of MLAs ‘On Her Side,’ Paneerselvam Says Signatures Are Forged

Chennai: AIADMK general secretary Sasikala Natarajan met Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao on Thursday and claimed the support of majority of the party's MLAs.

At the meeting lasting over 30 minutes, Sasikala is also learnt to have impressed on the Governor that she should be invited to form the government. Ten ministers accompanied Sasikala to the Raj Bhavan. She also submitted a list of MLAs with their signatures to claim the support of the MLAs. However, she did not address the media after meeting the Governor but appeared cheerful.

Meanwhile, incharge chief minister O Panneerselvam alleged that several signatures in the list submitted to the Governor were forged by Sasikala. "Sasikala's claim of 129 MLAs support is false and misleading", he said.

Earlier in the evening, Sasikala paid tributes at the Samadhi of J Jayalalithaa at Marina Beach.
