Former minister P Shankar Rao was discharged from the Banjara Hills Care Hospital on Wednesday evening after 27 days.

Sankara rao was taken into custody for questioning on  January 31  in the Green-fields land scam. He had been shifted to Neredmet police station, where he complained of chest pain and admitted to Care hospital.

Interestingly, Shankar Rao has reportedly not allowed his gunman to accompany him.

Shankar Rao and his brother Dayanand are accused of grabbing 875 plots in Green Fields Colony using fake documents in Khanajiguda village. Cases have been booked against him under section 120B, 420, 367 and 468 of the IPC.
