RTC buses, autos to go off roads on Wednesday
Opposing the National Highway Security Bill, the automobile sector has called for a nation-wide bandh on September 2. As a mark of solidarity, the city buses and autorickshaws in the city of Hyderabad too will screech to a halt.
As a result, it is likely that 3800 buses and 1.20 lakh autorickshaws plying in the city may be off the roads. All major trade unions are extending their support to the agitation. Telangana RTC Mazdoor Union, AITUC, IFTU, Telangana Auto Drivers Welfare Association and several other organizations are taking out a rally from Sundaraiah Park in Bagh Lingampalli. The agitation is mainly aimed at the process of e-challans.
