Rs 6 lakh robbed by fake IT officials in Hyderabad

This is not the first time, conmen have royally succeeded in fooling civilians. Some unidentified persons who had allegedly posed as Income-Tax officials robbed Rs. 6 lakh from a house at Rajendra Nagar in Hyderabad on Wednesday afternoon.

A gang of unidentified thieves who claimed to be Income Tax officials raided a house and took Rs. 6 lakhs from a woman called Basanthi. They seized the money alleging that it was unaccountable. The woman who suspected them as fake IT officials alerted neighbors.

A case has been registered at Rajendra Nagar police station. Police are checking all the CCTV cameras in the area to find the robbers .It may be recalled that a similar incident was reported in Hyderabad earlier, in which fake IT officials robbed 18 lakh from an industrialist.
