Reprieve to Parthasarathy in High Court
The Andhra Pradesh High Court today stayed the operation of the FEMA Tribunal order against Minister for Primary Education Parthasarathy.
After hearing both the sides, the High Court this morning ordered that the FEMA Tribunal directives imposing Rs 3 lakh fine on the Minister be stayed till further orders. The court made it clear that the stay will be in force till the High Court decides the case.
The FEMA Tribunal of Delhi has imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakh on the Minister for violation of its guidelines. However, the hearing in the case pending before the Machilipatnam court with regard to the Minister’s affidavit to the Election Commission is continuing.
