Ready to face Govt suppression: Eetela

TRSLP leader Etela Rajender on Tuesday warned that the police should own responsibility if they tried to suppress the agitation for Telangana.

“We will not fear with the cheap gimmicks of the Government and the proposed 'sadak bandh’ would be organised on the Mahaboobnagar-Kurnool high-way on March 21,” Eetela said.

He said there was no response from Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy to their letter for permission to organise ‘Sadak bandh’. The Superintendent of police of Mahaboobnagar was making provocative statements, he said and added that the party would not lose confidence with these threats and make the programme a success.

One person from family for sadak bandh

Rajender appealed to the people to attend the programme at least one person from a family. Discrimination shown by the government towards the Telangana region in the allocation of funds in the budget was not at all excusable matter, he said and demanded clarification from the Finance Minister Ramnarayana Reddy. The Finance Minister showed bias by allocating Rs 362 crore for Nellore medical college, while the Nizamabad Medical College was given just Rs 160 crore. He said Sudarshan Reddy minister from Nizamabad should question the government for the discrimination.
