Ramya lost battle for life, family continues battle for justice

Ramya dies after battling for life  - Sakshi Post

The 9-year-old Ramya lost her battle for life from last nine days, has left the world on Saturday.

Albeit not belonging to Ramya’s family the tragedy has brought distress in public too and a strong outcry has been witnessed seeking justice for the hapless family.
It was quite disturbing to see how traumatic it was for the family to see their beloved daughter on deathbed.

Everyone has been condemning the accused - Shraveel - who along with his other friends for driving the car in an inebriated state but ironically, the very first day after being arrested the culprits were out on bail. This shows how strong our ‘judicial’ system is. Prima facie there was enough evidence against the accused, but they were all let go free.

The ghastly mishap occurred on July 1 at the Nagarjuna circle, when Shraveel in an inebriated state along with his friends, was driving the speeding car in an opposite direction collided with divider and the car jumped to other side of the road and ran into the victim’s car.

Along with Ramya, four others were travelling in the car, of which, one named P. Rajesh died on the spot; the other three have sustained severe injuries who are undergoing treatment.

Due to the recklessness of the youngsters an entire family has been shattered into pieces. But the questions that strike is will these culprits will be punished? A leader from the opposition took this as a chance to condemn the ruling government for failing in its duty for not halting selling off liquor in state.

Alas, rather taking a jig, he failed to question the administration that the accused who wasn’t holding a license not only should be arrested but even the owner of the car should also be made responsible for this horrific act.

The police said that they will take stern action against the bar and restaurant for supplying liquor to the accused who are below 21 years of age.

The Hyderabad Commissioner of Police M Mahendar Reddy had said that a case of culpable homicide has been registered against the 20-year-old engineering student and have gathered enough evidence against the accused and if proved the accused is liable for punishment of up to 10 years.

Well, this tragic incident has moved everybody’s heart and everyone is waiting for justice to prevail.
