Ramoji rapped by Court for land grab

Media baron Ramoji Rao who has been accused of land-grabbing was flayed by the Vishaka Rent Control Court for illegally occupying a piece of prime land for years after the expiry of the lease deal.

The Court today took a strong note of view of Ramoji's illegal occupation and ordered him to vacate the Eenadu office from Seethammadhara in three months. The court also ordered him to pay dues which he had defaulted on.

It may be recalled that M A E K Krishna Varma, the owner of the land on which the Eenadu press and office are currently located now, filed a case against the media baron and his son, alleging that Rao illegally surrendered seven cents of land to the state government for expansion of the road and claimed an alternative piece of land.
