Rajnath assures Rahul Gandhi: 'no revengeful politics'
In the light of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi expressing concern over the scrapping of a proposed food park in his constituency Amethi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said there is "no question of revengeful politics".
"There is no question of revengeful politics. I also hail from a farmer's family ... as far as my information (goes), may be the company has refused (to build) it," Singh said in the Lok Sabha, adding that he will "personally inform" him (Rahul) about it.
"We want to develop the country and the ruling party can't do it alone," the minister said. Earlier in the Lok Sabha, Gandhi urged the government not to scrap the proposed food park in Amethi, reminding it that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had said during the 2014 general elections that "he is not a practitioner of politics of revenge but one of change".
