Police should not take sides: YSRCP - Sakshi Post

YSR Congress has said that the Police institution should shun taking sides and align with political parties as such moves would send in wrong signals to the people.

It demanded Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu to tender an apology to the farmer who attempted suicide at his public meeting.

“YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s remarks on DGP were the natural course of a pent up emotion of a long drawn series of incidents which were loaded heavily in favour of one side and neglecting the other. What he spoke was bare facts about the deteriorating law and order situation in Anantapur district and manner in which police force conducted

itself,” party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters on Thursday.

“There are many sincere officers in the force and we respect them but if some officers work like political stooges, it will reflect on the society in a bad way. I have personally complained to the same DGP that there is a possibility of political adversaries kidnapping our MPTCs and he asked me to refer it to the SP. The incident did take place and the attackers have shouted slogans in favour of Kodela Siva Prasada Rao. The matter was taken up to the DGP again but to no result.

More recently in December 28 2014 the fields and agriculture implements of farmers were set ablaze in six village of Thulluru and the inquiry was carried out by two police

officials,  known for their sincerity and they were quickly transferred,” Rambabu said.

He strongly defended YS Jagan’s comments on DGP JV Ramudu, who was given two year extension and was appointed when he had just month’s service left.

Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu has to tender an unqualified apology to the farmer who attempted suicide at the venue of his public meeting at Narsipuram. The condition of the farmer is serious and there is indifference on part of the Chief Minister, he said.

“Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has tendered apology to the farmer who committed suicide at his public meeting and Chandrababu Naidu is making light of the incident. We demand that he should apologise to the farmer as his failure to keep up promises seems to have driven him to this pass,” Rambabu said.
