Rains Refuse To Leave Hyderabad, To Continue For Another Week
Hyderabad: Telugu states will experience heavy rainfall over the next five days, according to a statement released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Consequently, rains are expected in Hyderabad for another five days. On Sunday, rains lashed several parts of the city. Several colonies in LB Nagar, Nagole and Nacharam were inundated. The city is already experiencing more than usual annual rainfall since two weeks. First it was Cumulonimbus clouds and then hurricane droni that left the city soaked.
All the nalas and drains are overflowing leaving residents of low lying areas in constant fear. Though the GHMC has created emergency teams to tackle any eventuality, the preparations are said to be inadequate. A case in point is the overflowing of Bandla cheruvu in Anandbagh area that completely inundated Malkajgiri and Safilguda.
