Telangana Ranks Low In Terms Of IT Job Availability

Hyderabad: Here is some bad news for IT job aspirants of the state.

A recent survey by career assessment company, Aspiring Minds, has revealed that Telangana ranked a lowly ninth in terms of IT job availability and demand. The states ahead of Telangana are Maharashtra, Delhi NCR, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu which together make up to about 65 percent of the total job openings in the IT sector of the country. Compared to that figure, Telangana has 3.47 percent of total job openings.

The top three in-demand skill sets in Telangana are, Software Development, Managerial skills and IT hardware. The survey also revealed that 'Software Development' and 'Sales' are the most sought-after professions in the IT sector. Employers, on the other hand, look for "English Comprehension" and "Reasoning" among the IT job aspirants.

The survey took into consideration over 10 lakh job openings across the country and matched them with 90 job skill sets, spanning cognitive and soft skills to arrive at the findings.
