Pro-Telangana activists halt Naidu's speech, held
Pro-Telangana activists were arrested on Wednesday in Adilabad District when they tried to obstruct the speech of Telugu Desam Party president, N Chandrababu Naidu during his 'Vastunna Meekosam' padayatra.
Police arrested as many as 100 activists at Pisara village of Lakshmanchand mandal in the district. Tension prevailed in and around the mandal as scores of Telangana activists were arrested by the police.
As Naidu began addressing at the gathering, pro-Telangana activists wearing black badges as a mark of protest, demanded that he declare his stand on the separate statehood issue first and later continue with his speech.
