Principal held for allegedly misbehaving with minor student

The principal of a private school at Subhash Nagar was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly misbehaving with a girl student of his school, the police said.

Sharat Chandra, allegedly behaved indecently with a tenth standard girl student and reportedly forced her to kiss him, the police said, quoting a complaint lodged by her father.

Following the complaint, Jeedimetla police filed a case against the principal under Sections 354 (outraging the modesty of women) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code and arrested him, a police officer said.
