Prime Minister Stooped To Lowest Level To Win Gujarat Elections: Revanth Reddy

Revanth Reddy  - Sakshi Post

Revanth Reddy, who addressed his first press conference as a Congress leader, chose to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP and quite surprisingly, not Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the TRS.

On Tuesday, he said the Prime Minister had stooped to the lowest level by levelling crass allegations. He said the Prime Minister represents the whole nation and should have behaved in a dignified manner. But Narendra Modi chose to hit below the belt. He said that while he was the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee could have won the vote of confidence, if he could get an MP to cross over to his side. But, he chose not to do that. But now, both Modi and Amit Shah have resorted to unethical practices to win the elections.

He said Rahul Gandhi behaved in a dignified manner and has ensured that the Congress will emerge as a very strong Opposition with 80 seats. He said the BJP's popularity in Gujarat was down because Modi and Shah encouraged defections just as KCR did in Telangana. Modi's BJP had lost in his home town of Vadnagar, Revanth pointed out and adding that Advani did not congratulate the BJP till now. Both Advani and Vajpayee believed in ethical politics, unlike Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, Revanth Reddy said.
