The countdown has begun for the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh starrer, 'Padmavati', but the controversy surrounding the film only seems to be growing.

In recent days, Prakash Raj with his sharp tweets, it appears is keeping the news wires busy. His latest tweet appears to question those "who threaten and silence" suggesting such intimidatory tactics are a throwback to the Stone Age.

Union Minister Uma Bharti posted an open letter on Saturday in which she said that artistes did not have the right to take liberty with facts in the treatment of historical events. The film is scheduled to be released on December 1.
