Pour cold water on fireworks: KCR
Hyderabad: A miffed Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Friday asked his party workers to stop the fireworks outside the party headquarters even as he was preparing to speak to the media after the party’s good show in the GHMC polls.
The fireworks outside outside the party headquarters was so deafening that a miffed CM asked his colleagues to pour cold water on the fireworks so that he could address the media without any interruption.
During the press conference, the TRS leader took a dig at the CPI leader Narayana saying that there was no need for the latter to cut his ear off as TRS managed to win the GHMC polls with a majority. The CPI leader had earlier challenged saying he would cut off his ear if TRS manages to win the GHMC polls with majority.
Meanwhile, celebrations erupted in TRS camp on Friday as the party headed for a clean sweep in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Elections (GHMC).
A large number of workers of the ruling party gathered at the party headquarters Telangana Bhavan to celebrate the party’s victory soon after the initial results and trends started emerging on Friday evening.
