Historic TRS win...Nannaku Prematho!

Hyderabad: KTR, the Telangana IT and Panchayati Raj minister, who entered politics during the Telangana movement as an ordinary party worker has proved himself to be a worthy son of his visionary father K.Chandrasekhar Rao.

Recognised as the 'icon of the year', KTR has now through his efforts in the GHMC elections authored a historic win for the TRS. Supporters are giving it a cinematic overtone by referring to it as 'Nannaku Prematho', after the recent Jr. NTR blockbuster, translated as 'To my father, with love'.

In the run up to the elections, KTR had repeatedly stated that the Mayor post would be theirs. His strategy for winning the Greater Hyderabad elections has now been proved successful. From selecting of candidates to 150 divisions, to placating rebel leaders and from making himself available to media houses to talk about various issues, to whirlwind campaigning that involved over a 100 roadshows, it was KTR's trademark all the way.

KCR had reportedly stayed away from most of the campaigning to avoid inconvenience through traffic jams caused by his convoy of cars. He only addressed one major rally. KTR not only has seen to it that there is no leadership vacuum but has also increased his own brand value. He seems to have outdone the expectations of one and all.

Even before the election day, KCR had recognised his son's efforts in the GHMC elections by announcing that KTR would be bestowed with the additional responsibility of Municipal Affairs. It is not surprising then that the social media is paying heed to this unique father-son relationship.
