High Court Relief For Suspended Telangana Congress MLAs
The Congress once again got relief from the AP High Court in the case of the two suspended party MLAs, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar. The plea of 12 TRS MLAs who questioned the verdict of the single judge Justice Sambasiva Rao, staying the proceedings and notification with respect to the suspension of the two MLAs, was dismissed. The Court held that the ruling party MLAs were not connected with the matter and that it was for the government and Election Commission to move the matter in court.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampat were represented by Abhishek Manu Singhvi, while senior Supreme Court lawyer Vaidyanathan represented the 12 MLAs from the ruling TRS.
