The ruling TDP has begun its usual game of intimidation and threats in Nandyal, which is going in for by-election.

The TDP, which wants to win the all-important by-poll by hook or crook, is resorting to attacks on YSRCP supporters. Using the official machinery and the police administration, raids are being conducted on the houses of the YSRCP leaders. On Friday, the police conducted raids on the house of YSRCP leader Tirupati Reddy in Mitnala area. After conducting searches for quite sometime, the police returned empty handed as they could not find anything objectionable.

Already raids were conducted in Ward No 18 councillor Subba Rayudu, Ward 21 councillor Anil Amruta Raj and Ward 22 councillor Murali with an intention to terrorise them.

The YSRCP has strongly decried these deliberate threat tactics. They said this was clearly in violation of the moral code of conduct and the officialdom has not touched even a single TDP leader so far.
