Police Raids Continue in Call Money Scam

Guntur: In an intensified effort to bring the culprits in the sensational Call Money scam to book, the AP police conducted raids on nine persons accused in the case on Tuesday morning.Police have swooped on the residences and offices of those involved the scam in Vijayawada, Guntur and Kadapa districts in the early hours and seized bundles of docuements related to the scam. Raids are going on in Chittinagar in Vijayawada, Sharada Colony in Guntur and Poddutur in Kadapa district.

The houses of Kummari Chandra, Shaik Basha and K. Manohara Naidu under Nagaram Palem police state limits are being raided since morning. The houses of Ramesh, Venkayamma under Pattabhipuram police limits, Srinivasulu Reddy in Old Guntur, D. Venkateshwara Rao in Lalapet, Munni and Nagul Meera in Kothapet are also being raided for documents and other material related to the scam. Dozens of mortgage documents and promissory notes were confiscated. The operation was going on.
