Police Commemoration Week: Blood donation camp organized

Hyderabad: Police Commemoration week celebrations reached another mark where the city police held a blood donation camp today at City Armed Reserve (CAR) headquarters in Petlaburj.

Additional Commissioner of Police law and order, Anjani Kumar inaugurated the camp at 10am in the presence of Commissioner of police M. Mahendar Reddy and Joint Commisioner, M.Shiva Prasad.

Along with holding the various competitions, the police came up with the idea of organizing a blood donation camp for the patients suffering due to problems in their genes. Anjani Kumar, while addressing the people during the camp said that thalassemia and similar of diseases are mostly genetic.

Expressing his concern for such patients, Anjani Kumar said that if a person gives importance to fitness and routine life, it would lead to developing a positive attitude as well.

“We are proud that every year on the behalf of CAR we organize this blood donation camp which is nothing less than giving life to somebody”, said Anjani.
