PM, Celebs Hail India’s Success At CWG 2018

India finished its Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 campaign on a high today, when Saina Nehwal won Gold medal in badminton, Srikanth Kidambi and PV Sindhu bagging Silvers, and Sharath Achanta settled for Bronze in the men's Singles Table Tennis event on the final day of the multi-sport event. Indian athletes clinched a total of 66 medals, of which there are 26 Golds, 20 Silvers and 20 Bronze medals.

The exuberance of youth, the endurance of experience and a bit of usual drama that is signature Indian sports -- the country's Commonwealth Games campaign was all this and much more with a medal count that turned out to be the third best ever.
Amongst many noted personalities, PM Narendra Modi congratulated the athletes for putting up the third best ever performance at the Commonwealth Games.

In 2002 CWG, Out of total 30 Gold Medals that we won; 17 Golds came from just 5 Players at large (Anjali Bhagwat & Jaspal Rana : 4 each followed by Kunjurai Devi, Sanamacha Chanu & Shailaja Pujari with 3 each).
