PIL in HC for President's rule in AP - Sakshi Post

A petition was filed in the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking President's rule in the state on the grounds that governance had come to a halt. The court adjourned the petition to August 26.

Another PIL was filed in High Court over improper conduct of EAMCET counselling in 23 centers of Seemandhra region. The students from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions filed a petition in the court. Court which admitted the petition, directed the DGP and IGS of the respective regions to submit a detailed report on this.

In another case, the court adjourned a petition contending APNGO strike was against the law. The court adjourned the hearing to August 26.

The court sent notices to state government, DGP and the officials of the Seemandhra Secretariat forum on this. It also questioned the government lawyers on the actions taken to prevent the strike.

When the lawyers requested the court to issue orders to call off the strike, the court told the lawyers how can it be sure if the strike was still on.
